This Cookie Policy explains how the Swapli platform (swapli.net) uses cookies and similar storage technologies. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy and complies with the requirements of the EU ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended by 2009/136/EC) and the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They enable a website to remember your preferences, maintain your login status, and provide a proper user experience.
Cookies are not malicious programs and cannot access other information on your device.

2.1 By Function
Strictly Necessary Cookies — Cookies without which the website cannot function properly. These do not require consent.

2.2 By Duration
Session Cookies — Deleted when you close your browser.
Persistent Cookies — Remain on your device until their expiration date or until you manually delete them.
2.3 By Origin
Swapli Cookies (First-Party) — Created by swapli.net.
Third-Party Cookies — Created by external services. Swapli uses third-party cookies — Google (GA4), Meta (Pixel), and affiliate attribution (Affonso) — loaded only in accordance with your choices in the cookie banner.

Note: These cookies are loaded only after "analytics" consent. Until consent is given, Google Consent Mode keeps storage denied.

Swapli uses marketing cookies for conversion attribution and campaign performance measurement. These cookies are loaded only after you grant "marketing" consent.

Conversion measurement is also performed server-side (Facebook Conversions API and GA4 Measurement Protocol) — see the Privacy Policy §5–§6.
4. Additional Storage Technologies
In addition to cookies, Swapli may use additional browser storage technologies:
Local Storage — For storing user interface preferences (such as display mode). This data remains on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Session Storage — For storing temporary data during a session (such as steps in a registration process). This is automatically deleted when you close the tab.
These technologies operate similarly to cookies and this policy applies to them in the same manner.
5. Cookie Consent
5.1 Cookie Banner
On your first visit to the website, a cookie banner will appear allowing you to choose:
"Accept All" — Consent to all types of cookies (strictly necessary + preferences + analytics + marketing).
"Strictly Necessary Only" — Only strictly necessary cookies will be loaded. Language preferences and theme settings will not be saved between visits.
"Advanced Settings" — Manual selection by category (strictly necessary, preferences, analytics, marketing).
5.2 Changing Consent
You can change your cookie consent at any time by:
- "Cookie Settings" link at the footer of every page on the website.
- Account Settings — If you are a registered user, cookie settings are also available in your account settings.
Changing your consent will take effect immediately. Cookies already stored will be deleted according to your new selection.
5.3 Strictly Necessary Cookies Do Not Require Consent
In accordance with Directive 2002/58/EC Section 5(3), cookies necessary for website function are exempt from the consent requirement. These cookies will be loaded in all cases.
6. Deletion and Blocking of Cookies
6.1 Manual Deletion
You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings:

Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data > Clear Data

6.2 Automatic Blocking
You can configure your browser to automatically block cookies. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may impair website functionality — for example, you may not be able to remain logged into your account.
6.3 Do Not Track
Swapli respects your browser's "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. If your browser sends a DNT signal, non-essential cookies will not be loaded — even if you previously gave consent.

7.1 Children
Swapli is intended for individuals 18 years of age and older only. We do not use cookies to track minors.

8. Changes to This Policy
Swapli may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes (such as adding analytics or advertising cookies):
- Will be published on the website at least 30 days before they take effect.
- Will trigger an email notification to all registered members.
- Will require your renewed consent.
9. Governing Language
In the event of any discrepancy, the Hebrew version shall prevail.
